Hi gang,
Looks like more and more of us are migrating inside as the weather grows cooler. A couple of reminders for Buzzards Bay Pickleball Nation if you’re looking for great places to find fun rec open play… First, where it all started, the Gleason Family YMCA. You can find the days/hours here on the “Discover Wareham” website:

https://discover-wareham.com/?p=412

The Y is a bargain, free for members of any Y anywhere, and $8 for non-members.

Next, kudos to Mike “Crossing Guard” Sadeck for working with Marion Indoor Tennis at 26 Luce Ave in Marion to resume evening indoor pickleball at this nice, bright, clean facility. If you’re a lobber (Mr. Gilles!) you’ll love the high ceilings. Kendon, the manager, will be guaging interest as we enter the fall/winter. I enjoyed a fun and challenging 2 hours yesterday evening 7:30-9:30pm playing with Mike, Jason “The Terminator” Gay, Paul “The Lobster” Gilles, Dave “Music Man” Rogers, Lynn “Punch Volley” Peterson, Earl “The Pearl” and Kendon. Keep your eyes peeled for other evenings as the indoor season at MIT gets into full swing.

And, finally, two other favorites of the indoor crowd, Southcoast in Fairhaven and Pickleball & More in Dartmouth are ramping up for a busy and fun season of indoor pickleball lessons, clinics, tournaments, leagues and open play. P&M now boasts nice and beautifully bright lighting and, of course, knee-friendly cushioned court surfaces. Donat and his stalwart team (a big shout out to Suzette, Pedro, Amber, Pat, Denise, Chris, Jess Rego and Cathy Silva…) have delivered a terrific mix of lessons and events for all levels of play. P&B’s Major League Pickleball format league play is getting especially enthusiastic reviews for fun, competition, and variety.

Southcoast is still a magnet for the best-of-the-best picklers in our region and still tough to get into when events are posted, but don’t despair. Get on the waiting list and pray a spot opens up and Adam gets the go-ahead to add courts come spring!

That’s it for now. For those of you opting to follow the sun to more moderate winter locations down south, we’re going to miss you, but be ready to rumble when you return in the spring!
